Week-by-week breakdown

4 weeks, 4 transformations

Each week delivers an immediately usable skill — by Week 4 you are building and shipping real AI-powered tools for your business.

1

Week 1 · AI Landscape

Intro to AI — The Right Model for Every Job

Most professionals use one or two AI tools and wonder why results are inconsistent. This week maps the full AI landscape — which language models to use when, which image tools produce what, and how to build a personal AI toolkit matched to your actual work.

Learning objectives

  • Identify the leading AI models in each category and their distinct strengths
  • Match the right AI tool to any professional task in seconds
  • Understand why model choice and configuration dramatically affect output quality
  • Build a personalised AI toolkit for your specific role and industry

Hands-on activity

AI Toolkit Audit & Build

Participants map their top five recurring work tasks and, for each one, identify the optimal AI tool, write a rationale, and test it live in the session. They leave with a personalised AI toolkit and a concrete plan to use it the next working day.

Topics covered

  • Language models compared: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Mistral — strengths and use cases
  • AI for images, video, audio, and presentations
  • Coding assistants and AI-powered development tools
  • AI search, research, and knowledge management tools
  • Enterprise AI platforms vs consumer tools — when to use each

Week 2 · Safety & Ethics

AI Safety, Ethics & Responsible Use at Work

Using AI irresponsibly at work carries real risks — legal, reputational, and ethical. This week builds a professional-grade AI safety mindset: understanding data risks, recognising bias, and making decisions your organisation can stand behind.

Learning objectives

  • Identify and manage the key data privacy risks of professional AI tool use
  • Recognise AI bias and understand its implications for business decisions
  • Establish clear personal and organisational boundaries for AI use
  • Apply an ethical decision framework before deploying AI in any professional context

Hands-on activity

AI Risk Assessment Workshop

Participants work through three real-world professional AI scenarios (e.g. using AI to screen CVs, generating client-facing content, automating customer service) — identifying risks, applying an ethical framework, and drafting guardrails for each.

Topics covered

  • What AI tools do with your data — and what to keep out of them
  • AI bias in hiring, lending, and business decisions — real case studies
  • Deepfakes and synthetic media in a professional context
  • Drafting a personal AI acceptable use policy
  • When AI gets it wrong — liability, accountability, and reputation

Week 3 · Prompt Engineering

Prompt Engineering — Professional-Grade Output

In professional settings, inconsistent AI output is a liability. This week teaches the prompt engineering techniques that separate occasional AI users from people who get reliable, high-quality results every time — and builds a reusable prompt library for your role.

Learning objectives

  • Apply advanced prompting techniques to produce consistent professional-quality AI output
  • Build multi-step prompting workflows for complex business tasks
  • Design system prompts and personas for repeatable use cases
  • Create and maintain a personal prompt library that compounds in value over time

Hands-on activity

Professional Prompt Library Sprint

Each participant identifies their five most time-consuming recurring tasks and engineers a reusable, tested prompt for each one. Prompts are shared across the cohort, peer-reviewed, and refined — producing a collective library every participant takes home.

Topics covered

  • Advanced prompt structure: role, context, constraints, format, examples
  • Chain-of-thought and step-by-step reasoning for complex tasks
  • Few-shot prompting for tone, format, and style consistency
  • System prompts and persistent personas for recurring tasks
  • Prompt testing, versioning, and iteration

Week 4 · AI Agents

Building AI Agents — Automate Work End-to-End

AI agents go beyond chatbots — they plan, decide, and act autonomously across multiple steps. This week participants design and deploy agents that can browse the web, call APIs, manage files, and run entire workflows without a human in the loop.

Learning objectives

  • Understand what AI agents are and how they differ from standard AI tools
  • Design a multi-step agent workflow for a real business use case
  • Build and test a working AI agent using no-code agent platforms
  • Identify where autonomous agents add the most value — and where to keep humans in the loop

Hands-on activity

Capstone: Deploy Your First AI Agent

Each participant designs and deploys a working AI agent tailored to their role — e.g. a research agent that monitors industry news and sends a weekly brief, a sales agent that qualifies leads, or an ops agent that processes and routes incoming requests. Agents are demoed live at the Week 4 graduation showcase.

Topics covered

  • What is an AI agent? Planning, memory, tools, and actions explained
  • Agentic frameworks: AutoGPT, CrewAI, n8n agents, and no-code alternatives
  • Giving agents tools: web browsing, email, calendar, APIs, databases
  • Multi-agent systems — orchestrating teams of specialised AI agents
  • Safety and oversight: when to let agents run and when to pause
